Find Help and Healing for the Hurt of Separation and Divorce

DivorceCare Ministry at Rockpoint Church is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through separation or divorce alone. You will also gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Rockpoint uses a proven, established class method (see DivorceCare link at bottom of page). Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements:

A Seminar with Experts

During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, the group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.

A Support Group with Focus

After viewing the video, group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.

Class schedule

DivorceCare classes at Rockpoint are offered on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30. Each set of classes is 13 weeks, with individual topics being discussed each week (see “divorce and recovery subjects” link above)

Frequently asked Questions

1.    Do I need to start at the beginning of a 13 week session?-No, you can start any time, in fact, a large percentage start in the middle of the classes

2.    If I miss a session, is it hard to catch up?-No “catch-up” is needed, as each class addresses a stand-alone topic. We do offer ways of getting the information on a topic you missed if you wish.

3.    What is the cost?-There is a one time fee of $20 which includes a Study guide.

4.    What if I start in the middle of the 13 weeks-can I come to the next 13 week class?-Yes, in fact many participants attend twice-and there is no additional charge.
