Bob was born and raised in a small town in Manitoba, Canada, immigrated to the United States in 1958 and after spending four years in the US Marine Corps (59-63) became a naturalized US citizen. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a Billy Graham crusade in Chicago, June 1970. His working career was with the Burlington Northern Railway. He spent three years as a switchman and then started as a computer programmer in 1966. He retired from BN in 1995 as the Assistant Vice President of Financial and Administrative Systems.
He has been a part of Rockpoint Church as a volunteer in one capacity or another since 2003. For the last four years he has served on Rockpoint's Leadership Board. He also served on the Board of The Navigators. This involvement has developed and grown within him, a love for making and growing disciples. He and his wife, Nancy, live in White Bear Lake, MN where they raised three wonderful sons. They have enjoyed being involved in a variety of ministries in East and West Africa and South America. They are also involved in a home for orphaned children (www.brydgescentre.net) just outside of Nairobi, Kenya.
